Axis Identification and Interpretation

X-Axis (Horizontal Axis): Behavioral Prevalence / Market Share

Meaning: This axis represents the percentage or footprint of a specific trader profile or psychological bias within the market ecosystem.
Interpretation:Moving further to the right (e.g., Recency Bias) indicates that the behavior is widely adopted by a large volume of market participants. Moving to the left (e.g., Overconfidence) points to a more niche or localized group.

Y-Axis (Vertical Axis): Strategic Action Frequency / Impact Intensity

Meaning:This axis measures the operational velocity, trading frequency, or direct price-driving power of each profile.
Interpretation: Higher positions on the chart (e.g., Speculative Trend, Swing Traders) represent highly active, execution-oriented groups fueling price momentum. Lower positions represent deeper, psychological barriers or passive behavioral states.

Z-Axis (Color Density Scale): Strategic Dominance / Pressure Score

Meaning: Represented by the grayscale gradient bar at the top, the darkness of each bubble quantifies its rational weight or risk capacity in the game-theoretic matrix.
Interpretation: Deeper, darker bubbles (e.g., Herding Behavior, Recency Bias) exert a stronger strategic pull, meaning they have the highest capacity to influence or cascade into other behavioral groups at that moment.

Market Interpretation

Right side of the X-axis: indicates that the behavioral pattern is widespread and observed among a larger proportion of market participants. Left side: indicates that the behavior is more niche or limited to a smaller group of investors.

Upper part of the Y-axis: indicates higher strategic impact on market behavior and decision-making. Lower part: indicates relatively lower strategic impact.

Right + High position: represents a behavior that is both widespread and highly influential. This is generally the most important area for market monitoring because such behaviors can generate strong price movements.

Upward price tendency: is more likely when a highly prevalent and influential behavior is buying-oriented. For example, widespread Herding, Recency Bias, or Overconfidence during a rising market can reinforce buying pressure and support further price increases.

Downward price tendency: is more likely when a highly prevalent and influential behavior is selling-oriented. Loss Aversion, for example, can create strong selling pressure when investors become concerned about losses. Herding can further amplify this decline if investors collectively start selling.

Excessive speculation / bubble risk: becomes particularly important when Speculative Trend, Overconfidence, and Herding are all positioned toward the right and upper part of the matrix. This suggests that speculative behavior is widespread and has a strong market impact, potentially pushing prices above fundamental values.

Overconfidence: when positioned in the upper-right region, may indicate aggressive risk-taking and strong buying activity. It can initially support price increases, but if it becomes excessive, it may lead to overvaluation and subsequent correction or crash risk.

Loss Aversion: when positioned in the upper-right region, indicates that fear of losses is widespread and strategically important. This can generate significant selling pressure and increase downside risk, especially during an already declining market.

Herding Behavior: can work in either direction. When investors collectively follow an upward trend, it can accelerate price increases. When they collectively follow a downward trend, it can accelerate price declines. Therefore, Herding primarily acts as a trend amplifier.

Recency Bias: can also reinforce the prevailing trend. If recent prices have increased, investors may extrapolate that increase into the future, supporting further price growth. If recent prices have fallen, the same bias can reinforce further selling and price declines.

Speculative Trend: becomes a strong warning signal when it moves toward the upper-right region. A combination of high prevalence and high strategic impact suggests strong speculative momentum, increasing the probability of excessive valuation and a potential market bubble.

Left + High position: represents a behavior that is currently relatively uncommon but potentially very influential. This can be interpreted as an early-warning signal: if the behavior spreads toward the right, its market impact could increase substantially.

Right + Low position: means the behavior is widespread but has relatively limited strategic impact. It may affect many investors but is less likely, by itself, to generate a major price movement.

Most dangerous combination: when Overconfidence + Speculative Trend + Herding move toward the upper-right, the market may enter a phase of rapid appreciation, excessive speculation, and bubble formation. If this is subsequently followed by an increase in Loss Aversion + Herding, the market could experience a transition from rapid growth → overheating → correction → sharp decline.

Important: The X-Y position alone does not determine whether prices will rise or fall. The axes indicate prevalence and strategic impact; the type and direction of the behavioral bias determine whether that influence is likely to create buying pressure, selling pressure, trend amplification, or speculative overheating.
